Emily Hargis is a recent graduate of the Digital Art Program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has interned with the game studio Raconteur Games and currently works at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. She creates 2D motion graphics as well as 3D models, textured and animated. As a female artist, Emily is motivated by stories of women overcoming the challenges in today’s society. She is consistently inspired by the testimonies produced by the “Time’s Up” movement as well as films and television that showcase strong female leads. Emily aims to create art that shares in this exploration of the female experience. She is passionate about 3D character animation and recently completed her senior project, a short 3D film about puberty called, "When Hairy Met Sally".
